As senior accountant, you are responsible for the correct and complete processing of the monthly and yearly closing conform Belgian GAAP, IFRS and corporate policy and for the timely delivery of the validated figures. The goal is to act as accounting manager within the year, managing a team of experts. In the year leading up to this position, you will act as right hand of the current accounting manager and work on financial projects. Preparation of statutory accounts
Preparation of corporate income tax declarations (including all formalities), including calculation of prepayments
Responsible for tax accounting and IFRS tax reporting
Responsible for the monthly closing of the balance sheet and P&L taken into account a strict deadline :
Calculate and process accruals based on information received from other departments or reporting sources and in accordance with Belgian GAAP, IFRS and business policies
look at the outcome in a critical way, taken into account (monthly) evolutions
check all the accounts for which he/she is responsible
takes up issues or outstanding actions during the month in a proactive way
adapts changes in the accounting process in accordance with the company's guidelines
reconciliation of the different systems that are linked to the accounting process
Involvement in financial projects
Potential to grow in the position of team manager
Fluent speaking/writing in English, French and Dutch
Flexible in terms of time management as well as assigned tasks
Degree in accountancy (master or bachelor)
Hands-on proven experience of at least 5 years in tax and statutory accounting (by preference in multinational environments)
