Automation & Digital Transformation Consultant (Sales Driven)

The Sales‑Driven Automation & Digital Transformation Consultant blends technical understanding with strong commercial instincts. You will identify opportunities, build relationships, and guide industrial clients through their digital transformation journey — from first conversation to long‑term partnership. This role combines consulting, solution design, and proactive business development. Work Location : 60 % travel, 40 % from the office in Zaventem combined with remote work Key Responsibilities Business Development & Sales (Primary Focus)• Identify and qualify new business opportunities across manufacturing, pharma, food, chemicals, metals, and consumer goods. • Lead discovery calls, client meetings, and technical‑commercial discussions. • Translate client challenges into compelling automation and digital transformation proposals. • Build long‑term relationships with decision‑makers at multiple organizational levels. • Collaborate with internal technical teams to shape solution architectures and commercial offers. • Drive the full sales cycle: prospecting → scoping → proposal → negotiation → closing. • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client workshops. Consulting & Delivery (Secondary Focus)• Analyse production processes to identify automation and digitalization opportunities. • Support the design of automation architectures (PLC, SCADA/DCS, MES integration). • Facilitate workshops to clarify requirements and align stakeholders. • Participate in functional design, testing, commissioning, and post‑go‑live optimization. • Communicate project impact clearly (efficiency, quality, downtime reduction). What You Bring • Experience in industrial automation (PLC, SCADA, DCS) or digital manufacturing technologies. • Strong sales mindset — confident in prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing. • Ability to translate manufacturing challenges into business opportunities. • Excellent communication and storytelling skills for technical and non‑technical audiences. • Confidence leading client conversations, workshops, and presentations. • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. • Fluent in Portuguese and English (written and spoken). Nice to Have • Experience in B2B technical sales, pre‑sales, or solution consulting. • Familiarity with MES, historians, industrial IT/OT, or data systems. • Exposure to commissioning or troubleshooting automation platforms. • Knowledge of scripting or data tools (Python, SQL) is a plus. • Prior experience in a consulting or client‑facing role.
