Software Engineer – Advanced Sensor Technology & Autonomous Systems (Hybrid, Hasselt) Location: Hasselt, Belgium (2–3 days on site per week)

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join the core development team responsible for building the software that powers next-generation sensing, tracking, and signal intelligence systems. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced scale-up environment, enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, and wants to contribute to meaningful technology with real-world impact.

Develop and maintain core software for real-time sensing, data processing, and tracking applications
Work closely with signal processing and AI engineers to deploy algorithms efficiently
Contribute to the design and optimisation of internal APIs, microservices, and data pipelines
Work across multiple system layers—from command-line interfaces to backend dashboards
Improve system performance and reliability through testing, debugging, and code quality best practices

Strong programming skills in Python or C++
Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, networking, I/O)
Comfortable working in Linux environments with Git and CI/CD workflows
Curious, pragmatic problem-solver with the ability to tackle real-world engineering challenges
