Learn more at About the Role Our Brussels office is seeking an Employment Associate (2–4 years PQE) to join our Employment Practice. The role offers the opportunity to advise Belgian and international clients on a full spectrum of employment law matters, from day-to-day advisory to complex disputes and litigation. Key Responsibilities Advise clients on employment law, HR policies, and employee relations matters Support contentious matters, including litigation and dispute resolution before Belgian courts Assist clients on cross-border employment matters and restructurings Draft contracts, policies, and other employment-related documentation Keep clients informed of legal and regulatory developments in employment law Support partners on high-profile and complex projects Qualifications Belgium-qualified lawyer with 2–4 years of post-qualification experience Solid experience in employment law, either in a law firm or in-house Experience with both advisory and contentious employment matters Strong academic background in law Required Skills Native Dutch speaker, fluent in English; good command of French is a plus Strong analytical, drafting, and problem-solving skills Proactive, pragmatic, and client-focused Team player with excellent interpersonal skills Interest in working on complex, cross-border matters Why Join Bird & Bird?
