Freelance Infrastructure Engineer Hybrid Cloud Brussels, Hybrid
6-month renewable contract to start January 26
As an Infrastructure Engineer Hybrid Cloud, you will integrate the Run Infrastructure team at You will be responsible for the operational management, reliability, optimization, and security of Azure and M365 environments within a hybrid cloud infrastructure .
In this role, you will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to support, enhance, and secure our cloud services, ensuring seamless integration between on-premises and cloud resources.
You will play a key part in our digital transformation, contributing to migration and modernization projects, driving automation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives, while maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance across all cloud operations
Your Role:
Azure & M365 Operational management:
▪ Administer, monitor, and optimize Azure cloud environments and M365 services.
▪ Ensure high availability, security, and compliance of cloud resources.
▪ Implement and maintain cloud-based solutions, including automation and scripting for operational efficiency.
▪ Resolve level 2 & 3 problems and incidents
Hybrid Cloud responsibilities
▪Manage and support hybrid infrastructure, bridging on-premises datacenter and Azure cloud resources.
▪ Participate in migration, modernization, and integration projects.
Continuous improvement
▪Share knowledge and best practices within the team.
▪ Propose improvements to processes, tools, and cloud architecture
Integration
▪ Integrate into the Run Infrastructure team, actively participating in daily operations and team initiatives.
▪ Collaborate with colleagues and partners to deliver seamless cloud services and support.
Profile
Essential Skills & Experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience in cloud and infrastructure roles.
Strong hands-on expertise in Server administration, Azure administration and M365 operational management.
Experience with hybrid cloud architectures and migration projects.
Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
Proficiency in Active Directory, EntraID, ADFS, DNS, DHCP, server/client OS, patching, and infrastructure as code.
Scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI).
Monitoring and security tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Security Center
Fluent in Dutch and/or French + English
Certifications (Preferred)
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect
