We are working with a forward-thinking company operating at the heart of the renewable energy sector. Based in Leuven, they develop software solutions to accelerate the adoption of sustainable energy technologies. They're on a mission to provide businesses and communities with a solution to transition to clean, efficient energy. As they expand, they are looking for a Lead Developer who is passionate about both technology and sustainability to help drive their growth and development. As the Lead Developer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction and architecture of their platforms. You'll lead a team of developers, ensuring the successful development and delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions in the renewable energy space. Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of developers to design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications Develop the frontend using React or Vue (depending on your preference and expertise) Work on the backend using Node.js or Nest.JS to build robust APIs and services Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, UX/UI, Data, and Business) to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions Oversee code reviews, promote best practices, and ensure high code quality across the team Contribute to system architecture decisions and technical strategy Qualifications Proven experience as a Lead Developer or senior developer with strong leadership skills Strong frontend development experience with React or Vue.js Expertise in backend development with Node.js or Nest.JS Solid understanding of RESTful API design, MicroServices, and cloud-based architectures Experience with modern development tools, Version Control (GIT), and CI/CD pipelines Passion for renewable energy and a genuine interest in making a positive impact on the planet Bachelor's or higher in an IT-related field Fluent in Dutch and English The offer Work on a genuinely impactful product that will help shape the future of renewable energy Modern tech stack with the chance to learn and develop new skills Up to EUR7,500 gross for particularly outstanding applicants Full benefits package including company car Office in Leuven with remote working options and flexible hours Chance to build out your own technical team in the future with increased responsibility over time If you're talented in modern JavaScript frameworks and passionate about renewable energy, apply today
