Based in Leuven, they develop software solutions to accelerate the adoption of sustainable energy technologies.They're on a mission to provide businesses and communities with a solution to transition to clean, efficient energy. As they expand, they are looking for a Lead Developer who is passionate about both technology and sustainability to help drive their growth and development.As the Lead Developer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction and architecture of their platforms. You'll lead a team of developers, ensuring the successful development and delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions in the renewable energy space.ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor a team of developers to design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance applicationsDevelop the frontend using React or Vue (depending on your preference and expertise)Work on the backend using Node.js or Nest.JS to build robust APIs and servicesCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, UX/UI, Data, and Business) to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutionsOversee code reviews, promote best practices, and ensure high code quality across the teamContribute to system architecture decisions and technical strategyQualificationsProven experience as a Lead Developer or senior developer with strong leadership skillsStrong frontend development experience with React or Vue.jsExpertise in backend development with Node.js or Nest.JSSolid understanding of RESTful API design, MicroServices, and cloud-based architecturesExperience with modern development tools, Version Control (GIT), and CI/CD pipelinesPassion for renewable energy and a genuine interest in making a positive impact on the planetBachelor's or higher in an IT-related fieldFluent in Dutch and EnglishThe offerWork on a genuinely impactful product that will help shape the future of renewable energyModern tech stack with the chance to learn and develop new skillsUp to EUR7,500 gross for particularly outstanding applicantsFull benefits package including company carOffice in Leuven with remote working options and flexible hoursChance to build out your own technical team in the future with increased responsibility over timeIf you're talented in modern JavaScript frameworks and passionate about renewable energy, apply today
