- Je staat samen met je collega’s in voor de conceptie en installatie van de ESAT IT-systemen, met een focus op de basisinfrastructuur van het ESAT-netwerk en de onderlinge samenhang van de verschillende systemen die voor deze basisinfrastructuur zorgen.
- Je staat in voor het bedenken en integreren van (web)applicaties, die zowel binnen als buiten het departement (universiteitsbreed en zelfs daarbuiten) gebruikt worden.
- Het ESAT IT-systeem is een gemengd Windows/Linux-systeem, waarbij - in deze functie - de nadruk ligt op Linux. Op het gebied van netwerk en veiligheid zal ook Windows je pad kruisen.
- Bij het beheer van het ESAT IT-systeem speelt security een cruciale rol. Om de veiligheid qua autorisatie, authenticatie, data-access, enz. van elke installatie, configuratie of interventie te garanderen zijn we steeds op zoek naar nieuwe technologieën, in nauw overleg met de centrale IT-dienst van KU Leuven.
- Je bent in staat om grotere IT-projecten te leiden, zowel binnen ESAT als in samenwerking met externe partners.
- Je bepaalt mee het algemene IT-beleid van het departement en stemt de belangen van de verschillende afdelingen van het departement en /of externe partners op elkaar af met als doel een optimale inzet van mensen en middelen op IT-vlak.
- Je bent in het bezit van een masterdiploma in de (industriële) ingenieurswetenschappen met een sterke ICT-component of je hebt een gelijkwaardig niveau door ervaring.
- Je hebt ervaring met het beheren van middelgrote, liefst hybride, IT-systemen.
- Je hebt een goede algemene kennis van en ervaring met IPv4- en IPv6-netwerken en bijhorende netwerkservices (DHCP, DNS, …).
- Je hebt kennis van Linux-systemen en van een of meerdere programmeertalen, bijvoorbeeld shell, Python, PHP, GoLang, …
- Kennis van één of meerdere van de volgende technologieën is een pluspunt: (free)radius, mqtt, nginx, apache, postfix, netfilter, BIND9.
- Je bent zelfstandig en durft initiatief te nemen. Tevens functioneer je in een team, en kan je je expertise vlot delen met collega’s. Ook naar buiten toe ben je een goede communicator.
- Je schuwt nieuwe technologieën niet en bent er snel mee weg.
- Je kan planmatig en gestructureerd werken, je bent flexibel en bereid tot continue bijscholing.
- Je bent geboeid en gefascineerd door IT-beveiliging in al zijn aspecten.
- Je spreekt vloeiend Nederlands en Engels, zeker op IT-vlak.
- Je gaat vlot om met gebruikers van de IT-systemen.
- Je hebt goede leiderschapskwaliteiten gebaseerd op een solide technische achtergrond.
- Je hebt bij voorkeur ervaring met het leiden van IT-ontwikkelingsprojecten of je bent er op zijn minst klaar voor om die rol op te nemen.
