Financial Policy Specialist

MpowerT is exclusively partnering with a global trading & supply chain group to recruit a Financial Reporting & Consolidation Specialist. As our client continues to scale internationally, they are strengthening their Group Finance team with an experienced professional who brings solid audit exposure and strong IFRS consolidation expertise.
This role is ideal for someone who has built a strong technical foundation in audit and is now ready to apply that expertise within an international corporate environment.

The finance headquarters functions as a central point of expertise, working closely with local finance teams worldwide. The Role: Financial Reporting & Consolidation Specialist
Location: Antwerp HQ – hybrid (2 days/week remote)
You will leverage your audit background to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency across the group, while gradually expanding your impact beyond pure reporting.
You will be closely involved in technically complex topics such as IFRS adjustments, group eliminations, acquisitions, and equity movements, and will contribute to strengthening consolidation processes as the group continues to grow.
Review and challenge financial information received from international entities
Handle complex consolidation topics including M&A, goodwill, equity, and intercompany eliminations
Apply IFRS knowledge gained through audit experience to real-life business situations
You bring a strong technical finance background and feel comfortable operating in a structured, international environment. You enjoy complexity, have a critical audit mindset, and are motivated to move into a role with more ownership and long-term perspective.
This position particularly suits professionals coming from audit who have built hands-on experience with IFRS and consolidated clients and are ready for their next step outside a pure audit environment.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
Minimum 5 years of experience in Audit or equivalent through experience
Experience auditing consolidated, international clients
Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
A key role within an international group finance structure
