**What does this job entail?**:
The basis of a sound credit risk policy is accurately measuring and analysing risks. Only with clear facts and figures do we gain** insight into the real risks we expose ourselves to as a lender.** Our team plays an important role in this.
This is how we help to maintain the trust of customers who take out a loan with KBC, as well as internal auditors and regulators such as the European Central Bank and the National Bank of Belgium.
A** diverse, international team** of risk analysts welcomes you to the Reporting & Analysis Competence Center (R&A CC). We are part of the Data Quality Management department, which is at the core of **KBC's data-driven** **strategy**. Together we provide reports of the highest quality and are constantly looking for how it can be (even) better by focusing on automation & innovation.
**What do we expect from you?**:
- Together with ICT colleagues, you manage our reporting tools: including Business Objects and QlikSense. You create new reports on credit risk and maintain existing reports. You also help to ensure the quality of the underlying data and the reports themselves.
- You form **the bridge between the ICT experts and the business stakeholders**. What exactly do they need? We support our customers in the use of reports and tools, without compromising data quality and reliability.
- You gradually build up expertise in credit risk management and reporting. This helps you to present complex issues in such a way that the reports have a** greater impact** on the **decision-making process**.
- You think along with your colleagues about an increasingly efficient risk reporting process and help implement these improvements. Can we **automate** a task? How can we innovate, seize opportunities and keep evolving?
- In addition to your close colleagues, you will also work with the other credit risk departments within KBC Group, other teams within DQM and Finance.
**Your key strengths?**:
- Lending, risk management and balance sheet management fascinate you. You would like to acquire expertise in these areas and share your knowledge with others.
- You have a master degree in (Applied) Economics or Business Engineering, or you have the experience thanks to a background in e.g. financial (management) reporting or portfolio management.
- You like working with Excel, SQL, QlikSense and Business Objects.
- We can count on you to complete your tasks independently. At the same time, you enjoy working with others to achieve the best possible results for all of our customers.
- You work efficiently, accurately and with an eye for detail.
- Do you encounter a problem? Then you look for a pragmatic solution.
- You speak and write **English** fluently, which is the working language in this position.
