JOB DESCRIPTION - STORE MANAGER
The store manager manages the development of the turnover and KPIs of their store. They are the guarantor of their store in terms of visual merchandising and stock management. They are the direct manager of their team and must be involved in training and monitoring the skills of their sales assistants. They also have a training, organization and leadership mission that they must carry out on a daily basis in support of their referent, the area manager.
**Their tasks are as follows**:
1/ COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT
**Sales Development**:
- Their main mission is to develop the sales of the store as well as the associated performance indicators (UPT, conversion rate, average basket, registered sales, loyalty sales linked to the loyalty program). They ensure that the sales targets set by the area manager are met.
**Welcome and support of customers on a daily basis**:
- The store manager develops the customer file and helps set up strategies to develop the Clienteling in their store. They are the privileged contact of the best customers of the store.
- The manager must make sales to meet a demanding clientele and serve as a model for all members of their team.
- They must fully master the key points of the A.P.C. Sales Signature training and be able to disseminate knowledge in terms of customer service and advice.
- The store manager must best represent the brand image of A.P.C., whether through their uniform and their general presentation or in their attitude and their way of addressing customers.
**Customer litigation management and retail procedures**:
- The store manager must be the only point of contact in the event of a customer dispute.
2/ TEAM MANAGEMENT
**Team management and leadership**:
- The store manager is an example to their team and colleagues. They regularly offer them help.
- The store manager must manage their team by finding the right balance between decision-making, compliance with procedures and communication with the area manager.
- On a daily basis:
- They lead team meetings, motivate their sales team, listen, and transmit the information received by the area manager.
- They show initiative and are a force for proposals with the area manager.
- They regularly participate in the creation of challenges to motivate their team (all their project must be submitted to the area manager for validation). They also involve their team in the various projects implemented.
**Training**:
- The manager constantly improves their sales and management skills, as well as the skills of the members of their teams.
- The store manager assists the area manager in the various training sessions organised during the year (A.P.C. Selling Ceremony, After-Sales Service, Clienteling, etc.) and in the creation of materials to share with their team (Excel docs, Powerpoint, Word, etc.)
**Planning**:
- The store manager must be present in the field as much as possible.
- In agreement with the area manager, they divide their time between their work in the field, their work time in the office, their time with the area manager and the training time in the store.
- The management tasks entrusted to them must in no case reduce their presence on the field.
- They manage the planning of their team fairly. They manage the rest and vacation days of their team, which must then be validated by the area manager.
**Recruitment/HR**:
- They participate in recruitment (CV sorting, interviews, involvement in validation of trial periods) and the reception/integration of new employees (welcome booklet, image charter, internal procedures).
- They manage the individual reviews of their team: they keep the area manager informed of changes in the positions within their team and of the identification of competence/attitude problems of their sales assistants.
3/ PERFORMANCE AND STORE MANAGEMENT
Development/monitoring of performance indicators and management of reports:
- The store manager regularly monitors the sales indicators on Query (individual and global turnover/KPIs).
- They supervise junior managers on the development of sales KPIs.
- They monitor product performance in order to improve the product and TIB offer in each store.
- They follow and develop the loyalty actions in each store.
- Every month, they communicate sales objectives and strategies implemented by the area manager to their team.
- The store manager regularly reports all important information, which have an impact on the good management of their store (product push/client feedback/recruitment/turnover, etc.).
