Nestled on Rue Royale in Notre Dame aux Neiges, this Belle Époque jewel, sculpted by Henri van Dievoet, has stood as a proud witness to the epochs and events that shaped Brussels. Now, the fabled Grand Hotel Astoria will re-emerge as Corinthia Brussels later in 2024, a beacon of elegance and luxury in the heart of the Belgian capital.

Following a meticulous restoration, Corinthia Brussels will marry the classical elegance of its storied past with sophisticated modern facilities including 126 rooms and suites, a gastronomic restaurant and brasserie, and 1000 square metres of wellness. Catering to discerning locals and luxury travellers, Corinthia Brussels will harmonise heritage with an avant-garde attitude.

Join us to be part of the pre-opening team for a truly unique project in Brussels, developing Brussels’ most fabulous address.

Under the direction of the Head Concierge and the Assistant Head Concierge, to assist in achieving goals and targets set, whilst maintaining and building on the reputation of the Hotel. To assist Doormen, Concierge and Porters in ensuring that guest and departmental expectations are met in a manner exceeding the high standards required by the company.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Keeps abreast of newest trends and innovations in the hospitality industry.
- Proactively seek opportunities to enhance department profitability by controlling wastage and efficiently managing resources.
- Take a proactive approach in anticipating guest needs, such as jogging routes and local directions.
- Assist in hotel operations during peak times and ensure effective communication within the department.
- Report and address any problems or complaints promptly with the Head Concierge or Assistant Head Concierge.
- Attend required training sessions and meetings, and participate in performance reviews to support hotel succession planning.
- Support staff welfare and motivation
- Maintain hotel security, ensure staff and guest safety, and practice safe cash handling.
- Foster excellent working relationships with guests, clients, and colleagues, and address guest comments courteously.
- Assist in the efficient operation of the Doormen, Concierge team, and Porters, ensuring hotel standards are met and exceeded.
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel entrances, public areas, and hotel vehicles, reporting any defects.
- Keep the workstation neat and tidy at all times.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of items within hotel standards.
- Oversee the management and proper labeling of guest luggage.
- Ensure hotel flags are clean and restocked as needed.
- Ensure proper reception of guests arriving by limousine and maintain good relationships with limousine and taxi companies.
- Maintain a high level of local knowledge about nearby attractions and amenities.
- Ensure daily operation checklists are completed and assist team members as needed.
- Provide exceptional service to guests, residents, and tenants at all times.
- Ensure high-quality capture and maintenance of guest data.
- Maintain the hotel computer system in good order and ensure proper utilization.
- Advise the Head Concierge and Assistant Head Concierge of any operational incidents and assist in appropriate follow-up.
- Maintain high awareness and security regarding persons entering/leaving the building.
- Promote hotel services and facilities to guests, maximizing revenue through cross-selling.

Whist working for the Company there will be access to a wide variety of confidential information concerning the Company, guests and employees.

It is vital that all such information remains confidential and must not be disclosed to anyone outside the Company, guests and employees, unless otherwise stated. Please refer to the Employee Handbook for full policy details.

**Health & Safety**:
To be aware of and comply with safe working practices as stipulated by the Health and Safety Act and as applicable to your place of work. This will include the incumbent’s awareness of any specific hazards at the workplace.

The wearing of appropriate protective clothing provided by or recommended by the Company will be obligatory.

To report any defects in the building, plant or equipment according to hotel procedure.

To ensure that any accidents to staff, guests or visitors are reported immediately in accordance with correct procedures.

To attend statutory Fire, Health & Safety training and to be fully conversant with and abide by all rules concerning:

- Fire, Health and Safety
- Regulations, such as COHSS in the European Union, related to the control of substances hazardous to health.
- Risk assessments for your department
- Hotel Fire & Bomb Procedures

**Other Information**:
As the hotel’s level of business varies considerably, there is a need for flexibility in attitude, approach and working hours.
