**1 GOAL**
Botalys is an ambitious Belgian company dedicated to developing and producing ultra-pure
premium botanicals for health. At the heart of our operations lies a unique vertical farming
cultivation method, allowing us to produce rare and potent active ingredients with unmatched
purity, consistency, and sustainability.
Our "New Plant Platform" enables us to effectively meet our clients' specific demands by creating
custom plants using our innovative technology. Botalys' approach is to combine scientific
expertise, technological innovation, and a deep understanding of industrial needs, thus perfectly
nutraceutical supplements, or other specialized products.
We are in search of a passionate Sales Manager for our new plant platform. Someone who
understands our vision and is ready to champion our unique services to renowned players in the
sector.
**2 RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Actively discover and engage new potential clients for our new plant plateforme and
sector: food supplements, cosmetics and OTC, especially by connecting with New Product
Development teams. It's crucial to prioritize the conversion of these incoming leads into
tangible projects.
- Develop and nurture a robust sales opportunity pipeline. It's essential to not only identify
these opportunities but to diligently convert these projects into signed contracts.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure that every lead and project is given the best
chance of conversion, leveraging all available resources.
- Participate in relevant industry gatherings and events, always with an eye for potential
leads and opportunities.
- Regularly update the CRM system with a focus on tracking the progression of leads to
projects and projects to contracts.
- Act as our primary source of market intelligence in the region. Given that this is a
developing market, we need a true 'hunter' who can provide insights on industry trends
and proactively suggest potential new strategies or products.
- Scheduling appointments for business trips, to ensure that the diary is fully utilised when
travelling.
- Development of gifting strategies for our key accounts.
- Working with the marketing department and your sales director, you will design and
implement a lead generation strategy in advance of major company events, which you
will contact to arrange a meeting.
- Leverage tools like ChatGPT, Calendly, Pipedrive, and Odoo to enhance work efficiency,
elevate service quality, and boost client satisfaction.
**3 PROFILE**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Specific sales or negotiation training would be an advantage.
- Proven track record in sales, preferably within the nutraceutical industry or a similar
sector.
- Experience in lead generation, project management, and converting projects into
contracts.
- Demonstrated success in negotiation and closing deals.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales forecasting tools.
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to secure favourable terms while maintaining
client relationships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Analytical skills to assess market trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Fluent, impeccable English is a must, both in written and spoken forms.
- A deep understanding of and alignment with European culture, ensuring effective
communication and relationship-building with UE-based clients and stakeholders.
- Hunter mentality, with a proactive approach to seeking out new opportunities in
developing markets.
- Resilience and perseverance, especially when facing challenges in sales conversion.
- Adaptability, given the dynamic nature of the industry and market trends.
- Willingness to travel frequently, as the role requires at least one week of travel within
Europe per month.
- Knowledge of the nutraceutical industry would be a significant advantage.
