**About the role**

**Mission and Context**

The Strategic Buyer is responsible for the execution and follow-up of the strategic purchasing process of the allocated packages for various Etex sites (BeNe-Italy), with the Industry factories in Sint-Niklaas (BE) & Filago (IT) as the first priorities.
- The main responsibility is to provide factories with the necessary raw materials, goods and/or services on a continuous basis and in function of the need. In addition, you are involved in current purchase projects and look for synergies between various Etex entities.
- Value is delivered to the company through the purchasing road map; savings, performance, risk management & development based on the total cost of ownership model & deploying procurement best practice processes and procedures.- Also included in the scope:
- To build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- To carry out coordination of any Purchasing administration tasks to ensure the effective management of the purchasing function.
- To ensure the business meets it's environmental and legal obligations particularly regarding sustainability and responsible sourcing.
- To align purchasing opportunities & strategies within Industry plants in EU (Filago Italy) and visit the plant on a regular basis (approximately once a month travel to Filago-20% Travel) to meet stakeholders and implement various projects.
- Act as coordinator/facilitator/first point of contact for Etex Industry purchasing topics for other Etex Industry plants (Dubaï, Meldreth,)
- You will report into the Purchasing Manager Benelux.- From a time perspective; 80% will be taken up by Strategic Purchasing as outlined above, an additional 20% will be spent on specific purchase projects; leading, coordinating, follow-up and delivery of current purchase projects; and converting improvements proposed by you into projects.- Bachelor or Master (preferably engineer or applied economics) or equivalent through experience
- a first professional (similar) experience of one or two years.
- a good command of English and preferably Dutch. Any knowledge of German, French or Italian are definitely a nice plus
- in depth purchasing processes knowledge
- MS Office environment + SAP
