MS AISE is a long standing local specialty insurer, providing knowledge based and efficient service propositions to commercial clients. Our strategy is ‘to provide efficient knowledge-based service propositions to our commercial clients based on a dual distribution model (Bespoke and Streamed line business)’. Our corporate (international) approach and an efficient proposition for the SME clients (supported by digitalisation initiatives) will be key to reach our final goal.

ABOUT THE JOB

Job purpose

Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Risk Management, the role holder will perform activities to support the MS AISE Risk & Compliance function.

You can help MS Amlin to achieve this by:

- Supporting the Head of ERM in overseeing that risks and capital are well used for management decisions and sustainability of the business going forward.
- Supporting the Head of ERM in ensuring relevant policies, standards and tolerances in relation to the management of enterprise risks are well understood, implemented and adhered to.
- Contributing to the ORSA process by supporting the review of the Company’s risk profile and their quantification which culminates in the production of an annual ORSA report.
- Producing risk reports for entity management team, Risk Committee and Board covering among others risk appetite, exposures, tolerance and capital management adequacy.
- Assisting with the completion of relevant entity stress, scenario and reverse stress test analyses.
- Supporting with embedding a culture of risk awareness and the risk management framework across the European offices.
- Contributing to Investment risks oversight and adherence to investment mandates, including ALM.
- Contributing to the Business Plan Risk Assessment in order to opine on its achievability.
- Contributing to the risk management elements of external regulatory reporting submissions as relevant to local regulatory requirements.

What we need from you:

- A Master Degree in the area of Finance / Business Administration / Economics, preferably an actuarial degree.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant working experience, experience in an international environment and the insurance industry are a plus
- Very good knowledge of Solvency II requirements, risk management framework and tools
- An analytical, reflective and pragmatic mindset
- Proficiency in English and ideally also in French and/or Dutch
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to actively build and maintain successful business relations using your cross-cultural awareness
- Curiosity to look for continuous improvements in processes
- To solve problems effectively and make sound, well-reasoned and content-based decisions
- Effectively plan your own workload to meet deadlines, objectives or priorities
