We work in a unique, open innovation pilot and demonstration facility for process development, scaling up and (trial) production of bio-based products and processes, from laboratory to multi-ton scale.

**What do we expect of you?**:
- **out-of-the-ordinary job**. You work on
- **intensifying both fermentation processes** to enhance their efficiency and productivity. State-of-the-art gas fermentation bioreactors (1L and 10 L) will be used for optimizing the CO2 fixation stage through comprehensive screening of process parameters. For the aerobic fermentation process, various fermentation setups, such as repeated fed-batch or full continuous operation with cell recycling, will be explored using both glass and stainless steel fermentation vessels. Furthermore, the
- **downstream purification** of the microbial oil will be a crucial aspect of this research. The resulting microbial oil should meet the specifications required for further hydrogenation into the final aviation fuel product, in collaboration with our research partners.
- Together with your colleagues you develop and optimize these innovative bio-based processes that **contribute to a sustainable bio-economy** and **help fight climate change**.
