The Client, in partnership with other Commission services and stakeholders, provides high-quality corporate solutions/information systems for the Policy Units in GROW, but also to the Member States, enabling the successful implementation of the Commission's Digital Transformation and EU policies. In close collaboration with other Commission services and its customers, the Client builds and operates solutions in the following areas:

- Management and implementation of directives and policies
- Support of and interface to enterprises and SMEs
- Financial management, reporting, and monitoring of financial transactions
- Contractual management
- Control of business processes and workflows
- Database management
- Document and content management
- Communication
- Human resources

The following **tasks** will be performed:

- Definition of configuration management and deployment strategies for Cloud resources
- Ensuring availability and stability of cloud production environments
- Developing, and designing software automation and scripts to orchestrate cloud and virtualization technologies with defined scope, schedule, and expectations with a focus on Operations
- Designing and implementing DevSecOps capabilities (e.g. observability, continuous monitoring, traceability)
- Working with the development teams in resolving software and other related problems associated with the cloud deployment infrastructure and the code deployed onto platforms such as Database and/or Middleware
- Managing day-to-day deployment and maintenance activities
- Analyzing and tuning information systems performances
- Security administration and monitoring, in adherence to the security rules imposed by the Commission’s central security service (complemented by local rules where needed); under the supervision of the LISO (Local Information Security Officer).

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
The following **skills and knowledge are required** for the performance of the above-listed tasks:

- Good knowledge of virtualization technologies
- Good knowledge in scripting languages for cloud infrastructure automation
- Experience in administering systems in a virtualized Cloud environment
- Strong understanding of security, risk and compliance frameworks, disaster recovery, high availability architectures, hardware, operating systems and networking connectivity
- Good Knowledge of Cloud infrastructure setups from vendors such as, but not limited to, Azure and Amazon
- Knowledge of Middleware systems
- Knowledge of messaging services and platforms
- Knowledge of JEE
- Knowledge of Linux
- Knowledge of RDBMS
- The capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability, and experience in working in a team
- Ability to participate in multilingual meetings
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment, on multiple large projects
- Excellent Team Player
- The ability to understand, speak and write in English (C1/C2) is mandatory. French will be an advantage

SPECIFIC EXPERTISE:
The following** specific expertise is mandatory f**or the performance of tasks:

- at least 5 years of specific operational expertise with AWS or Microsoft Azure, including provisioning, operation, and monitoring - min. competence level 4
- at least 5 years of specific expertise with cloud services (e.g. - compute, storage, network, and managed services) - min. competence level 5
- at least 5 years of specific expertise in IT Infrastructure administration and configuration (Windows System, Linux System, Network, Security, Storage) - min. competence level 5
- at least 5 years of specific expertise with collaboration platforms (Confluence/JIRA)
- min. competence level 5
- at least 5 years of specific expertise in building and supporting SaaS cloud services - min. competence level 4
- at least 5 years of specific expertise with Containers - Docker/Kubernetes installation and configuration capabilities - min. competence level 5
- at least 5 years of specific expertise with automation, Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and deployment scripting using CLI - min. competence level 5

LEVEL OF EDUCATION:
The minimum educational qualification is corresponding to Level 6 of the European Qualification Framework which typically corresponds to a **bachelor’s degree** of 3 years.
