We are looking for talented and enthusiastic people with the passion to support our vision and help to change the future of aviation. We are currently recruiting for a **Bid Manager **located in Zaventem, Belgium.
**Mission**
- Provide quotations for solutions, products, spare parts and services with market conforming pricing and contract conditions
- Be a first line of technical contact, support or even consultancy for sales managers and customers in sales phase
- Manage the time frame for all RFQ & Tender submissions
**Responsibilities**
- Calculate and coordinate quotations for products, spare parts and services in the ERP system by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls
- Coordinate with product management to document spare parts and spare parts pricing for all products in our portfolio.
- Coordinate with the service business line to develop quotations for SLA’s and small service works.
- Take the lead proactively of the RFQ during the bid phase (Taskforce/Deadlines)
- Prepare offer documents for customer.
- Contact customers/agents for technical clarifications, active role for technical support to (end) customers before and during the bidding phase and negotiation phase.
- Defend offer internally and occasionally locally in support of the Area Sales Manager.
- Maintains current knowledge of market conditions and competitors and activities critical to the bidding process.
- Able to offer different alternatives, pro-actively in case of price issues or product phase-out scenario’s.
- For selected jobs it may be required to conduct site surveys to establish the exact situation on site.
- Contact airfield third party suppliers and installation contractors, prepare RFQs for these, evaluate offers and select the right one for each occasion
**Skills/Qualifications**
- Engineer (Aeronautical/Airfield/Airport, Electrical or industrial) or equivalent by experience
- Know-how of airport processes, cost structures and standards is an advantage
- Detailed knowledge of Airport Business in general and Airfield Business in particular is an advantage.
- Like to work in a team and can build up good relationships with internal stakeholders and customers
- Ability for creative, out-of-the-box thinking.
- Strong analytical skills to provide the right solutions to our customers by using clear, structured and logical steps
- Knowledge of ADB Safegate Product & Solution portfolio is an asset
- Sales experience or Project Management is a plus
- Good knowledge of MS Office and knowledge of SAP is a plus
- Like to work in a Multi-language, international & intercultural environment.
- Willing to travel and like to live the experience on site
- Language - proficiency in English, Scandinavian languages would be an asset.
