**Context of the Need**
John Cockerill designs, integrates, modernizes, and maintains equipment in the energy, defense, industrial and environmental sectors. John Cockerill supports its customers throughout the life cycle of their equipment to improve its economic, technical, and environmental performance. With a highly diversified portfolio of products and services, John Cockerill is an attractive technology group, driven by a desire for sustainable industrial progress.
To support the development of its Quality department, and particularly its Quality Product department, John Cockerill is looking for a Quality Product Manager.
**Nature and scoop of the mission**
The Quality Product Manager is responsible for managing the quality standards required to ensure the quality of services, products (Seraing and Aspach Plants) and projects (development, customer), from prototyping to series production, to guarantee the conformity and quality of these services and products in relation to the expectations of our internal and external customers.
**Responsibilities**:
The main responsibilities of the Quality Product Manager are to:
- Manage a team of quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians,
- Assess customer requirements and ensure they are met and design inspection procedures,
- Manage product/project quality documentation and validate regulatory and contractual files,
- Draw up control plans to ensure that equipment purchased or produced complies with customer and regulatory requirements,
- Manage deviations relating to equipment and components, assessing their impact on quality and following up with suppliers,
- Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality-related data,
- Demonstrate overall product/project quality to customers and provide quality support during customer reviews or Proposals,
- Participate in and monitor customer and supplier audits,
- Play an active role in implementing the product/project quality improvement plan and recording quality-related knowledge.
**Profile**
- Bachelor’s degree or above in generalist engineering, mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering,
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a project quality function in industry (Oil & Gas, EPC, defense, or inspection organizations),
- Master of one or more of the following standards/guidelines:
- European directives (Machinery, Low Voltage, Pressure Equipment, Electromagnetic Compatibility, Explosive Atmospheres, CPR, etc.),
- International standards and norms in equipment manufacturing e.g.: EN13445, EN13480, ASME and material standards (including PMA) and non-destructive testing,
- Experience in pressure equipment manufacturing and assembly.
- Qualification as an ISO9001 auditor is an asset,
- Good command of English, which is the working language,
- Good team management skills, communication, and coordination skills,
- Strong soft skills: collaborative, autonomous, adaptable, customer-oriented, Methodical, rigorous, able to analyze and summarize,
- Skills to prioritize, work intensively, quickly, in a multi-project and multi-disciplinary work environment (pressure equipment, electrical, EPC...)
- Risk-based approach,
- Availability for short missions abroad
