You will join the Immersive and Video Systems team, which has a proven record of inventing multimedia systems, Video and 3D coding technologies, and of enriching Nokia’s product and IPR portfolios.

**What you will learn and contribute to**

Are you passionate about solving problems?
As part of our team, you will:

- obtain insights on Video-based coding of dynamic meshes (V-DMC) technology and its current standardization at MPEG
- focus on the development in Python of a portable and extendable benchmarking tool for available V-DMC encoding and decoding software
- devise and document a suitable architecture for this benchmarking tool that will be reviewed and improved with the team
- perform simulations with the implemented tool and present the results to a wider Immersive Video and Systems audience

**Your skills and experience**

You are:

- An enrolled **Master student** in engineering (electrical, applied physics, photonics), computer science, applied mathematics, or physics
- Available for a duration of 6 weeks
- Fluent in English
- Fluent with Python
- Familiar with C/C++, Bash scripts

It would be nice if you also had:

- Some knowledge of CMake and Makefiles
- An affinity for or experience with 3D content (meshes, point clouds, 3D video)
