**Account Manager Performance Coating EMEA (M/F/x)**

As part of the EMEA sales organization and reporting to the EMEA Sales Manager Performance Coatings you will be responsible for the support and drive Lubrizol’s growth strategy in the Coating Additives business by developing and managing the EMEA region in the assigned countries. Through customer accounts or prospects you sell company products within the EMEA region. You focus on personal sales targets, new business development, maintaining customer relationships, and troubleshooting specific customer problems.

The position will be
**home office-based** in a European country preferably close to the following Lubrizol sites: Belgium (Brussels), Spain (Barcelona) or Italy (Milano).

**Major activities and principal responsibilities**:

- Lead the sales and market development activities to promote growth of the business for assigned accounts and territories.
- Foster and grow the appropriate business relationships both internally and externally.
- Develop and implement ambitious sales plans at the territory and account level.
- Effectively communicate with internal R&D, Marketing, and Operations group.
- Develop, negotiate and close sales contracts and agreements.
- Create and implement account plans that are well aligned with the business strategy.
- Provide proper reporting including forecasting, expense reports and call reports
- Represent Lubrizol at trade shows, conferences, and at local industry association, demand planning, and regional marketing meetings.
- Engage closely with Marketing to identify and evaluate new, high value opportunities.
- Develop and manage annual territory budget.
- Manage lead distributor partner.

**Required skills, qualification, and experience**:

- Ideally a Bachelors degree in chemistry
- Ideally a first solid experience in the coating industry, preferably in a technical support role or sales&marketing role. Previous experience in managing regional/multi-national accounts, and distributors is certainly a big plus.
- If you can share demonstrated successes in implementing new product, solution, technology and value selling programs that’s even a bigger plus.
- Willing and able to travel 50% of the time within the region
- Excellent Presentation & Communication skills in English and a second European language (French, German, Italian or Spanish)
- Tactical and strategic thinking and business acumen skills.
- Microsoft Office package skills.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities and a strong drive for results.
- Self-starter with a desire and ability to develop markets
