In this study programme we train students to become developers, data engineers, IT project managers or system and network administrators. Our educational model starts mainly from a coaching role, rather than from a role as a ‘teacher’
**What is your role?**:
As a lecturer you contribute to the development of our students into passionate professionals. You devise new content and work methods, you allow the students to learn through feedback, coach them in their learning process and assess them.
What do you actually do?
You will train skills and attitude with students in the various roles that they will take on in their professional careers. Students immediately put these skills into practice in the integrated project ‘The Company’. Throughout this entire process you will focus on sharpening management and intercultural skills.
- In the first year, you immerse the students in the role of a young professional and get working with them in a hands-on and project-oriented manner:
- You will teach students to refer to and value their own and diverse cultures and habits in order to act professionally in a cross-cultural context.
- First of all you will focus on intercultural skills, self-awareness, team-building, daring, scrumming, business processes, organisational structures and reflection.
- Then you will familiarise them with the basic concepts of accounting and performing a business process analysis and they will visit a company themselves. You will focus on further practising hard and soft skills, ethics, corporate social responsibility (CSR) and business modelling.
- In the 2nd year, you let students perform the role of team manager in a small business project. In this course too the emphasis is on sharpening and practising your (intercultural) communication skills.
- You support them in drawing up a business plan, a financial plan and get them to think about intellectual property.
- You will guide students in using their accounting skills, completing a VAT/Tax return and using digital marketing channels.
In the specialisation Management for IT Models & Tools you will teach students management terminology, concepts, models and tools that they will need to kick-start a career. You will also teach your students the importance of diversity, working ethically and CSR from cases from your own professional practice.
**Who are you?**:
- A hands-on person with management skills and practical experience with cross-cultural skills. You can relay your experience, tailoring it to the students.
- A motivator who can deal with diversity in a class group in an inclusive way and who is able to make students push their boundaries.
- A team player who likes to learn from other perspectives, inspires colleagues and so ensures that one and one make three.
You also have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in an IT or economic discipline or equivalent through experience. A teaching diploma is not essential, but you must be whole-heartedly committed to our students and to their future.
A C1 diploma is required for the English-taught study programme. Don’t worry if you haven’t got evidence of this yet, we are happy to help you on the way with our IELTS test and the necessary support.

- As holder of a bachelor’s degree, you will receive a salary based on the Lecturer Salary Scale 316 and, as holder of a master’s degree, you will receive a salary based on the Lecturer Salary Scale 502.
