- The Inbound Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the execution of the necessary daily activities that ensure the timely receipt of products arriving at Principal managed warehouses / inventory locations. This requires multiple contacts with supplying sites and with a network of supply chain partners and carriers around the world.
- MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Organize the receipt process of products arriving at Principal warehouses, including but not limited to:
- Follow-up of transport, forwarding and customs formalities, including timely provision of import and/or export documentation,
- Act as the point of contact to internal and/or external customers to keep them informed about the status of pending orders and delivery details.
- Quality Release Support:
- Manage complaints & deviations impacting inbound operation and resolve issues blocking inbound process to ensure no delay.
- Collaborate with Quality & LSP on investigation and assessment of inbound complaints and deviations which impacts quality of product.
- Master Data Management:
- Responsible for the creation, maintenance and approval of the materials which will be shipped to DHL Nijmegen.
- Maintain unit conversions (packaging levels) and sellable unit in SAP and coordinate with LSP.
- New Product Coordination with LSP.
- Manage Inventory at Principal inventory locations:
- Ensure full alignment between physical inventory and reported inventory.
- Investigate inventory anomalies (shortages/exceed stock) and conduct root cause analysis to avoid their reoccurrence in the future.
- Follow-up of all stock adjustment operations.
- Seek permanent improvement of work methods and tools.
- Drive problem solving and contribute to continuous improvement of the operational processes.
- Participate in Cross Functional teams as required (Product Launches, product transfers, packaging / label changes or other Regulatory changes).
- SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
- Level of education: Bachelor / University degree or equivalent through experience.
- Experience: Experience in a supply chain environment is an asset.
- Languages: Strong verbal and written skills in English.
- Computer skills: Broad PC skills and experience with SAP are essential.
