**Production Manager Printed Books**
In deze functie ben je als internationaal aankoper verantwoordelijk voor het efficiënt plaatsen van opdrachten voor druk
- en bindwerk bij tal van internationale drukkerijen. Afhankelijk van de aard van het te drukken boek, selecteer je de beste drukkerij op vlak van prijs, kwaliteit en levertijd. Ook het internationale transport en de kwaliteitscontrole van de geleverde boeken zijn bij jou in goede handen. Je werkt nauw samen met onze uitgevers en met de prepress afdeling voor het bewaken van de publicatieplanning.
**Takenpakket**:
- Je adviseert jouw collega-uitgevers over de materiële aspecten van hun boekproject. Afhankelijk van de aard en de oplage van het te drukken boek, kies je voor de gepaste druktechniek (vnl. digitaaldruk, PoD, of offset).
- Je vraagt offertes en negotieert prijzen. Voor standaardwerk negotieer je raamovereenkomsten.
- Je breidt ons netwerk van leveranciers voortdurend en proactief uit waarbij je goede voorwaarden onderhandelt en duidelijk afspraken maakt.
- Je selecteert de beste drukkerij-binderij op vlak van prijs, kwaliteit en levertijd, in binnen
- of buitenland en je geeft hen de nodige instructies. Je bezorgt de drukbestanden aan de drukkerijen.
- Je organiseert het internationale transport van bestellingen en leveringen.
- Je controleert de kwaliteit van de geleverde boeken. Bij eventuele afwijkingen onderhandel je de beste oplossingen.
- Je bewaakt de voorraadniveaus en geeft leiding aan de magazijnmedewerkers.
- Je volgt evoluties in de sector en evalueert deze strategisch in functie van de uitgeverij.
**Jouw profiel**:
- Je bent een **organisatietalent** met ervaring in de druk-en bindwereld (offset
- en digitaaldruk). Ervaring met prepress-processen, druktechnieken en internationale drukstandaarden zijn belangrijke pluspunten.
- Je hebt sterke **communicatievaardigheden** in het Nederlands, **Engels**, Frans en eventueel Duits.
- Je hebt een grondige kennis van relevante apps van MS Office en Adobe en bent vlot met de PC.
- Je hebt bij voorkeur enige cultuurhistorische belangstelling.
- Je bezit competenties om overzicht te houden en diverse **projecten** tegelijkertijd te managen, maar daarnaast heb je ook **oog voor details**.
- Ook internationaal onderhandelen, commercieel denken en netwerken zijn belangrijk.
- Om goed je draai te kunnen vinden in deze functie moet je een **tolerante, oplossingsgerichte en stressbestendige** **teamspeler** zijn.
