Our client is a main provider of software developing services in the transport industry, based in Brussels with offices close to a main railway station.
**Functieomschrijving**:
- You will help to shape the long-term architectural vision that allows our client to realize their digital ambitions. Together with other experts in strategy, product, design, architecture, and engineering, you will facilitate the architectural process for new value propositions, business models, digital platforms, or services.
- You will take the lead in understanding our client’s needs and help them better understand their needs. In doing so, you will bridge the business and technological perspectives;
- You will identify the key requirements for success and how these influence the desired domain architecture;
- You will not only just consider the solution at hand, but also how it fits within the broader IT landscape;
- You will develop, document and maintain the domain roadmap together with the different stakeholders, you will take the lead in modeling the strategic and future-proof product and platform architecture;
- You will identify tradeoffs that need to be made or guarded, and you will facilitate decision-making throughout the process;
- You will connect the dots between different technical stakeholders to ensure there is a shared understanding of the overarching architecture;
- You will support the solution and system architects in defining and building the more detailed areas of the envisioned architecture. You will help them see the bigger picture, and you will facilitate decision making where needed;
- You will stay up-to-date on important evolutions in technology and architecture and you will make sure to share them with your colleagues and stakeholders where relevant;
- You will use your experience to mentor and coach engineers and other architects.
**Vereiste ervaring**:
- You have a proven track record as a **Transformation Architect**:
- **You're an excellent communicator that can facilitate a debate and that can explain complex topics in a simple, understandable way;**:
- You're familiar with the e-Privacy Directive, GDPR,and you understand how they can affect business and delivery. You understand the challenges posed by creating secure software and how to manage them;
- You're always keen to learn new things, to share your knowledge, to embrace change and to learn from past experiences;
- You have an excellent understanding of common software engineering practices and architecture modeling practices;
- You're able to work in a team and you’re are always open to feedback from your teammates;
- You are **fluent in Dutch, French and English**.
