Within the division Services South & Airports, in the business unit Smart Buildings, the Brussels Airport department is one of 4 departments next to Services South 1, Services South 2 and EQUANS Services Luxemburg.

The Brussels Airport department is responsible for the maintenance & operation and small/medium projects in the majority of the buildings and installations located on the site of Brussels Airport. Major customers on this site are Brussels Airport Company and Skeyes. Our teams are responsible for - mainly - HVAC technics, plumbing, electricity and baggage handling.

**Description of the function
**For its department in **Brussels Airport **, EQUANS is looking for a **Department Manager **.
- general management:

- you are responsible for the achievement of financial operational and safety targets
- you develop the strategy of the department and based on this strategy you plan, develop, organize and coordinate all activities
- financial management
- you have full P/L responsibility of the department Brussels Airport
- you develop the budget and the long-term financial objectives
- you detect deviations to budgeted cost, turn-over and results and initiate and follow-up corrective actions
- you are responsible for the invoicing and cash collection
- you prepare and present the Quarterly Business Review of your department
- commercial management
- you are managing the relation with the customers on the site of Brussels Airport, together with the operational teams
- you make sure that the customer satisfaction is good, and you propose proactively new solutions to the customer
- depending on the opportunities, you develop the position of the department on the site
- you decide on margins and conditions during contract negotiations
- you detect and initiate small & medium projects depending on the requests or needs of the customers
- operational management
- you have final responsibility of all execution activities, you decide or validate actions taken, where needed
- you assure that quality, environmental and safety objectives are met by the team, you initiate corrective actions if targets are not likely to be met
- you develop and maintain processes for continuous improvement
- you stimulate interactions with other teams/departments of EQUANS in Belgium
- people management
- you lead by example
- you organize the staffing of the department
- you detect training/recruitment needs and initiate them with HR
- you stimulate your teams in creativity, new ideas and innovation, as well in new technologies
- H&S management
- you report to the Division Manager

**Profile description
**Are we a match?**
- you have at least a master's degree in electricity or electromechanics
- you have at least 15 years technical and operational background/experience
- you are a strong people manager with at least 15 years of experience
- experience in interactions/negotiations with unions is an advantage
- you have a strong focus on customer satisfaction
- you are hands-on, an organizer
- you are an entrepreneur
- you have well-developed leader skills, and you are a team player
- you are result driven
- you are stress resistant and flexible (attitude)
- you are trilingual Dutch/French/English
