As Accountant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting tasks, thereby working closely together with the accounting team at our Headquarters in Köln (Germany) as well as with external partners. You will be the first point of contact for all accounting related topics for our Belgian and our Dutch activities.
The Brussels team is a ambitious group of people, focusing on delivering top notch energy market related services to our Belgian customers. You will also be in contact with the Country Manager for the Netherlands, which focuses on further developing the Dutch activities.

**This is what you like**:

- Take full ownership of the accounting processes, resulting in an accurate, up-to-date accounting administration.
- Take over the operational accounting tasks for our Belgian and Dutch activities e.g. booking of incoming and outgoing invoices, follow-up on payments, monthly closing, VAT returns
- Take responsibility for developing and coordinating accounting and invoicing processes with our teams at our headquarters in Köln.
- Cooperate with external certified accountants e.g. for the preparation and review of official financial documents.
- Discovering the complexity of the quickly evolving energy market and its impact on accounting.
- Work with software that supports you in your daily work e.g., Jira, Confluence, Office package.
- The accounting team in Köln will help you get up to speed quickly and grow in your role, therefore we expect you to regularly travel to our office in Köln.

**These are your qualifications and skills**:

- You have a Bachelor´s degree in accounting or finance or you already have experience in a similar position.
- You are passionate about numbers and have a good understanding of Excel.
- You are curious and highly interested in learning about the energy industry and our products.
- You have a proactive mindset, a hands-on mentality, and a drive to get things done.
- Your colleagues can count on you and trust you to deliver qualitative outcomes.
- You are well organized and able to work independently.
- You are a team player with excellent communication skills.
- You are fluent in English and Dutch or French.
