At BASE, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager who will play a crucial role in understanding and meeting the needs of our current and future customers. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for (re-)designing mobile products, services, and customer value propositions (CVPs), including their benefits and features. By analyzing changing customer needs and market conditions, you will evolve existing offerings to ensure we deliver exceptional solutions.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop customer value propositions, benefits, and features for mobile products and services that address customer needs while considering future opportunities, changing markets, and potential improvements. Your designs will focus on enabling an optimal customer experience throughout the customer journey.
- Ensure the relevance of our mobile portfolio in changing competitive and market situations, including regulatory requirements. Continuously evaluate and adapt products, specifications, and pricing to meet consumer demands.
- Co-develop frameworks for product management and roadmaps while upholding Base design principles and ensuring consistency across solutions (products, services, CVPs).
- Assess the profitability of proposed solutions by owning or contributing to business cases and budgets. Provide recommendations based on feasibility and customer dynamics. Monitor and follow up on solution performance.
- Stay up to date with market developments, trends, and technological innovations, bringing forward best practices that align with our goals.
- Translate the features and benefits of products, services, and customer value propositions into clear business requirements. Collaborate with technical and operational teams to ensure the successful delivery of proposed solutions.
Business Expertise: - Possess excellent customer understanding and business analytics skills, including market research, consumer insights, and anticipating consumer needs and opportunities. - Champion value proposition and product design best practices and methodologies, such as value drivers, product positioning, storytelling, roadmap design, prioritization, and process design. - Demonstrate knowledge of product life cycle management, including product performance management and prioritization. - Display a broad business and financial acumen, including business and product strategy, business casing, Profit & Loss (P&L), budget management, and Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) management. - Understand the market orientation process, encompassing market dynamics, competitive landscape, technology and market trends, and in-depth product knowledge. Use this understanding to identify and frame opportunities. - Possess project management experience and the ability to navigate a matrix-type internal structure with an understanding of dependencies and impacts.
Interpersonal Skills: - Maintain a positive mindset and demonstrate creativity and innovation in problem-solving. - Adapt easily to an ever-changing context and remain open-minded. - Stay connected with customers and the market by empathetically considering their needs and preferences. - Collaborate closely with various internal and external stakeholders, facilitating workshops and negotiating effectively. This includes interacting with product owners, tribe leads, scrum masters, business analysts, architects, functional analysts, engineers, designers, suppliers, project managers, go-to-market teams, senior leadership, customers, and partners. - Possess excellent stakeholder management skills, including understanding business and technical processes, building networks, and influencing decision-making. - Demonstrate strong communication and influencing skills combined with business acumen and a customer-oriented mindset. Share best practices and provide coaching to colleagues.
