In the search for innovative solutions, Scientia Terrae closely collaborates both with industrial and academic partners, as well as with the different entities of Group De Ceuster.

To reinforce our team, we are looking for a **Research Project Manager Plant Nematology**.

**Function**:
As a **Research Project Manager Plant Nematology** you will be responsible for R&D projects concerning the **sustainable management of plant-parasitic nematodes**.

This includes various tasks:
**Design, execution and follow-up of nematological experiments**:

- **Cultivation and maintenance** of a collection of plant-parasitic nematode species
- Execution of **in** **vitro assays as well as plant assays in growth-chamber and greenhouse trials**:

- Follow up of **GEP and grower trials**:

- **Microscopy and DNA-based techniques**, such as PCR
- **Plant nematode diagnostics**

**Project management**:

- **Data analysis and statistical processing of results**:

- Preparing and leading **progress meetings**:

- Precise experimental planning and trial design
- Keeping close contact with the different departments and teams involved
- **Writing our research projects** related to biological control of plant-parasitic nematodes

In this position you will **regularly travel abroad**.

Your homebase is our research center in **Sint-Katelijne-Waver**. In a few years, a relocation to **Grobbendonk** is planned, which will become your permanent base of operations.

**Profile**:

- Experience with **biological control** in Plant Nematology
- A **strong research background**:

- Very good knowledge of **English** (knowledge of French is a plus)

- A teamplayer that can easily connect and bridge between different departments involved
- A **driving license B** and practical experience

Experience in **chemical laboratory techniques and formulation** is a plus.
