Overview:
Provide legal and contract support services to all parts of the TDW Eastern Hemisphere business organization.

Accountabilities:
Initiate, Develop and Implement Legal and Contract Programs in a Operations Oriented and Business Savvy Manner

(30%)Initiate, develop and implement legal and contract programs consistent with the parameters provided by the TDW Senior Legal Counsel.
- Manage and minimize legal, contract, and other commercial risks to the business so as to facilitate the efficient and profitable performance of TDW operations throughout Eastern Hemisphere.
- Assist with contract reviews, contract drafting and implementation of commercial best practices.
- Support the TDW Compliance Director, as needed.
- Be a trusted business partner to Eastern Hemisphere managers in an effort to grow the business regionally.

Provision of Review, Advice, and Drafting Services (30%)
- Provide legal, contract, and commercial advice and services throughout Eastern Hemisphere.
- Provide assistance with tender packages as requested by Eastern Hemisphere operating personnel.
- Provide contract advice to business partners, including contract revisions as appropriate.
- Develop a variety of operations and other commercial contracts to facilitate TDW’s business.
- Bring a value added viewpoint to the business decision making process throughout the region.
- Help to manage outside counsel functions and fees in eastern Hemisphere with the advice and consent of TDW Senior.
- Training (20%)- Train Eastern Hemisphere personnel on a variety of contract best practices,
- Always be mindful of the importance of protecting TDW’s reputation.
- Legal Coordination (20%)- Manage litigation and claims such that they do not have a “material adverse effect” on the business.
- Understand and protect TDW’s intellectual property, patents, trademarks and branding.
- Keep a careful eye on business development and contract management.
- Keep a careful eye on compliance issues.
- Experience and Education:
- Degreed lawyer admitted to practice in Belgium France. jurisdiction;
- 5 to 10 years of “hands on” legal, contract and commercial experience with a multinational company or major international law firm. Legal and business experience a plus.
- Strong, broad based practical understanding of business contracts with expert drafting skills;
- Fluent in English and French.
- Good organization skills and ability to manage different competing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels within a multicultural environment.
- Personal presence and presentation skills that will inspire confidence in Eastern Hemisphere business partners.
- A commercial, solution-oriented mind coupled with a strong commitment to professional ethics.
