**About the Job**
Based in Braine L’Alleud, Belgium, you will join the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) as Principal Technician (Web Hosting Services). You will help bring the required level of expertise to The Core Enterprise Services (CES) Service Line which is accountable for planning and executing the full lifecycle management activities (design, transition and operations) for the identified area of responsibility. CES provides generic, domain independent, technical functionality that enables and facilitates the operation and use of Information Technology resources. Specifically you will join Platform as a Service (PaaS). The PaaS service area provides Web Hosting, Database Platform, Identity Access Management, and Cloud Management and Integration services.

**About You**
We are looking for a talented and knowledgeable Principal Technician who holds a higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 3 years post related experience. Or a secondary educational qualification with 5 years post related experience. In the main you will be responsible for system administration of assigned systems including:
- Maintenance, support and technical integrity of Web Hosting Platform Services;
- Administration of large SharePoint farms, managing and checking the overall server health and quality;
- Installing, configuring, upgrading, migrating large web platform systems (e.g. SharePoint, IIS, Apache) ;
- Liaise with the customer to identify required changes to the business functions;
- Troubleshooting technical issues promptly;
- Performing daily work on the system to ensure platform stability and backend consistency;
A thorough knowledge of one of the two NATO languages, both written and spoken, is essential and some knowledge of the other is desirable.
NOTE: Most of the work of the NCI Agency is conducted in the English language.
