Within Global Supply Chain in Belgium (Ghent South), we currently have a vacancy for a QUALITY SPECIALIST

This is the Role

As Quality Specialist, you support the operation by following-up on the quality of the work and cover the investigation of customer feedback related to offsite quality issues.
You collaborate between all different functions both internally and externally to provide leadership and direction for driving quality improvements and lead projects across the supply chain to improve quality.

The Quality Specialist reports into logistics and, functionally to Global Quality and will focus on Performance Films and AMI.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Responsible for safe and compliant operation
 Responsible for investigating and following up on customer feedback. The focus will be to analyze data and look for trends in the customer feedback
 Grow the quality of the operation across the supply chain by leading projects and driving improvements.
 Build good connect with 3 party service providers to continuously drive improvements, with focus on Value Added Services.
 Connect with quality and operations organization to ensure reliability of and improvements in offline process equipment.
 Serve as primary contact regarding Customer Service and supply chain managers for logistics quality matters relating to PF and AMI.
 Assist in the resolution of damage and claims.
 Provide performance reviews and reports, as required, to functional and geographic management toward meeting business and functional objectives for quality.
 Supports logistics procurement in driving quality within our procurement strategy. Ensure all quality documentation for Value added services is available and up to date.
 Manage appropriate local, corporate, and Regional functional resources to meet the legal, labor, transport, and fiduciary responsibilities.
 Participate on Regional, Business, and functional Teams as needed for deploying Corporate and Regional initiatives, plans, and programs at the site.

Required background & qualifications
- Strong logistics and operational background.
- Experience in manufacturing or supply chain activities.
- Project lead experience.
- Strong data analytics skills
- Knowledge of Quality, HSES & Business is a plus.
- Industrial engineering (or equivalent qualification).
- Fluent in Dutch and English
