We currently looking for an Internal Controls Manager Corporate.
The Internal Controls Manager Corporate will play a key role in managing risk and internal control in a rapidly growing, global immunology company. Key focus areas will be managing risk and building or enhancing the internal controls framework, managing SOx audits, performing risk assessments, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and monitoring compliance. This individual will work closely with key business partners around the world and focusing on argenx Corporate and European activities and will be part of a global team.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Further (re-)design the current internal control framework to a framework which is fit-for-purpose, globally aligned, future-proof and takes into account the newly emerging risks to the Company- Work closely together with different business stakeholders to merge the internal controls with the stakeholders’ day-to-day activities- Build effective working relationships and trust with key business partners to ensure continued SOx compliancy when new processes are set-up, existing processes are changed or reporting requirements are adjusted- Act as the main point of contact and liaison to coordinate the global ICFR audit work with internal and external audit to ensure the work is properly planned, executed and reported upon-
- Keep pace with the latest auditing practices, fostering an environment of continuous process improvement through technological advancement, capabilities, and providing forward-thinking perspective to the internal stakeholder.
Skills, competencies & qualifications- Collaborative work style with ability to interface with all levels of staff and management, both internally and externally- Global mindset & capabilities to build relationships across cultures and functions- Accurate, organized, and able to work autonomously- Strong technical and communication skills to navigate a complex environment and cultivate strong partnerships with key stakeholders- Analytical and critical mind, eye for detail, structured and efficient- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced changing environment- Fluent in English- An education at university level is required (Accounting, Finance, Business or related areas) or an equivalent combination of education and experience- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a PCAOB Financial Audit environment is required- Experience in Life Sciences (post commercial launch) is a plus
