**YOUR TASKS**
- At least 70% of your assignment will be spent on academic research within the field of integrative metabolomics
- You will assist in the department’s teaching activities (in Dutch, at the Bachelor’s or Master’s level), with emphasis on supporting the course units Veterinary Public Health II and IV
- You will counsel Master students in their exercises, work placement and Master’s dissertation
- You will counsel doctoral students
- You will contribute to the societal and academic services of the department

**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
- You hold a doctoral degree (PhD within relevant research area). The degree requirement needs to be fulfilled at the start of your appointment.
For diplomas awarded outside the European Union, a certificate of equivalence (NARIC) must be submitted
- You are an expert in the analytical chemistry of food and/or biological matrices, in particular, on basis of chromatographic and mass spectrometric techniques
- You have experience in the operation, capabilities and maintenance of liquid chromatographs and mass spectrometers
- You have experience in coaching students in the Bachelor’s, Master’s and/or Advanced Master’s programmes
- You may present relevant scientific publications in (inter)national peer-reviewed academic journals that are widely disseminated
- You can present a track record of communications and lectures at international scientific conferences
- Experience in writing and obtaining (research) funding (whether or not in an international context) is highly recommended

**WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU**
- Even if you have already been appointed earlier (whether or not at another university and whether or not in the same field of discipline) in a first term of up to three years, you can apply
- The second appointment does not have to be immediately connected to a first term
- Your appointment will start on 1 February 2025 at the earliest
