**Database Architect - Brussels - EU Public Organisations**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Design, develop, and maintain database solutions that meet business requirements and performance objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, and translate them into technical specifications.
- Architect and optimize database schemas, tables, indexes, and other database objects for maximum efficiency and performance.
- Implement and maintain database security, access controls, and data integrity measures.
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Plan and execute database migrations, upgrades, and patches in coordination with system administrators and other stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including data models, technical specifications, and operational procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members, and participate in knowledge sharing activities.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in Oracle DBMS and PL/SQL.
- Oracle certification (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) is required.
- Strong understanding of database architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Proficiency in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting database issues.
- Experience with database migration, replication, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, deadlinedriven environment.
- Familiarity with other database technologies (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) is a plus.
