**Context**

The Optimisation department secures the gross margin of the company by hedging its energy portfolio exposures on wholesale energy markets. It is a young and dynamic team in a challenging market environment where people are encouraged to take ownership in a positive atmosphere.

Within the Optimisation department, the Sales Interface & Pricing team is the link between the trading desk and the sales departments. In an ever-evolving energy sector, its methodologies in place need to be constantly challenged and improved to find a proper balance between the risk appetite of the company and the competitiveness of Luminus on the market.

The Sales Interface & Pricing maintains the pricing framework for new sales of both retail and B2B and of both offtake and injection. This includes mainly
- review of transfer prices of gas & power commodities: based on forward market prices, historically observed costs and future trends the team translates wholesale market prices into prices to be used by sales for end customer contracts.
- review of product portfolio (variable products, fix price products, pricing of renewables, energy sharing, decentralized production ) together with commercial teams
- regular updates of the pricing software together with IT
- answering pricing related questions from B2B teams
- follow-up on fix price campaigns currently sold

Together with the commercial teams the existing contract portfolio is actively followed-up in order to improve correctness of positions and associated hedging as well as to optimise financial results
- for B2B this mainly includes review of contracts based on active monitoring of both volumes and mtm (delta between clicked and market prices)
- for retail this includes e.g. review of actual vs forecasted consumption and follow-up on previous fix price campaigns.
- Together with the trading desk team, the Sales Interface & Pricing team also contributes to the development and maintenance of a framework for
- financial reporting of the load book results and (re)forecasts where transferprice revenues are compared with the actual sourcing costs
- optimal hedging methodology of the retail and B2B demand based on analysis of financial results

Thanks to its expertise, the team also
- prepares the pricing committee which covers B2B related topic that are on the interface between mainly optimization, sales teams and finance
- advises other stakeholders in the company (Regulatory, strategy) on pricing related topics
- support some of the training made available by HR

**Mission**

The retail pricing analyst takes ownership for pricing operations and communication with B2B and develops tools and models for power & gas transfer prices valuation of new contract

**Responsibilities depending on the experience**
- You are res
ponsible for providing retail sales teams with accurate transfer prices, compliant with agreed strategies, in a timely manner to guarantee business continuity;
- You support retail colleagues about pricing related questions and investigate possibilities to make the information flow more efficient. You master the transferpricing file and associated tools in order to ensure operational efficiency;
- You follow up on the correctness of retail fix price positions by reviewing on a monthly basis the Long Term Forecasting process together with the retail team;
- You develop a proper understanding of the load book results of elec and gas and ensure the translation into the transferprices and the hedging framework shared with the trading desk team;
- You follow-up on upcoming and future fix price campaigns together with retail. Transferpices are calibrated based on evaluation of associated risk (both higher churn in case of decreasing prices and higher/lower consumption in case of lower/higher temperatures).
- You work together with regulatory on pricing related topics initiated at e.g. Febeg level;
- You challenge and propose pricing strategies and methodologies, in collaboration with traders and sales teams;
- You ensure that solar product (reverting meters and digital meters) and energy sharing is correctly taken into account into the pricing framework.
- You contribute to the preparation of the pricing committee regarding retail related pricing topics;
- You create a proper understanding and contribute to the (re)forecasts of the load book results for both power and gas retail.
- You have an analytical mindset and a master in a domain that requires high analytical affinity (ideally finance, mathematics or engineering);
- You have experience in the energy and/or bankingProfile industry;
- You have genuine interest to understand the bigger picture of the energy industry;
- You are a team player with customer orientation. You naturally want to help, solve problems and improve processes;
- You have profound knowledge of MS Excel and affinity with programming;
