Daikin Europe NV (DENV) is a subsidiary of Daikin Industries Limited, a Japanese outstanding company and worldwide the biggest developer, producer and supplier of HVAC-R (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration) solutions, including heating pumps and cooling technology.
DENV is Daikin’s sales, R&D, and production headquarters for Europe, the Middle-East and Africa. The headquarter has Belgian offices in Brussels, Ghent and Ostend, as well as 8 production plants, 24 sales subsidiaries and offices and a whole network of independent distributors and dealers across the EMEA region.
**Department**
Production Planning & Control is responsible for drawing up production plans and providing the necessary resources (parts, people) to realize them. This means that the dynamic market demand for Daikin products must be converted into a stable production plan per line. Adjusting the planning where necessary on the basis of priorities, available parts, capacity or manpower is of crucial importance. In addition to production planning, sufficient parts must also be made available on time and solutions must be sought when this is not possible. Finally, adequate follow-up and planning must be made within the factory to ensure that there is a good balance between necessary and available manpower. As a team, there is frequent collaboration and communication both externally to suppliers and logistics providers and internally to production, supply center, HR and purchasing.
**Function**- You are responsible for the planning and control of resources with a focus on parts, manpower and finished products within Daikin, in close consultation with the management of the various production lines, purchasing and our supply center.- You map out the production planning and propose optimisations in the planning according to the available parts. You also follow up this process with internal and with external suppliers.- Analysis of these schedules and the development of tools to do this in an efficient and effective manner is always necessary in order to continuously improve and take the appropriate actions.- Striving for a good balance between realizing the production results on the one hand and an optimal distribution within the factory on the other hand is of crucial importance.- Based on reporting, active involvement in improvement projects and enthusiastic communication, you will become the central point of contact within production with regard to production planning and allocation.- Within this department there is frequent communication with other factories within EMEA.- You are also actively involved in supply chain projects to improve planning and logistics processes.
**Your profile**- You obtained a master's degree in economics (TEW, Commercial Sciences) or you are a commercial engineer.-
- You have an analytical mind and are fascinated by business and business processes. You strive for optimal efficient use of various resources.- You are pragmatic and have the necessary self-discipline to draw up plans and follow them.-
- You speak fluently Dutch and English.- You are working in Ostend, the headquarters of Daikin Europe. 1 day a week you can work from home.- You have a good basic knowledge of MS office tools.
