Life Sciences is one of the 3 core franchises of KBC Securities with dedicated team members within our organization, reaching from Corporate Finance to Institutional Sales. We are recruiting an Associate Director [or Director] to accelerate the development of our life sciences franchise and strengthen our capabilities.

**What do we expect from you?**:
We offer a position that comes with a high level of responsibility almost immediately. An Associate Director [or Director] will contribute to the sourcing of tailor-made corporate finance solutions for our corporate and investor clients within the life sciences and healthcare space.

Your focus will be on the sourcing of new transactions and ensuring effective deal execution. This generally involves meeting with CEO’s, CFO’s & corporate development executives of public and private life sciences companies, life sciences VC and PE funds and other stakeholders.

You will become a member of the dynamic corporate finance team, thereby gaining exposure to a diversity of capabilities/experiences within the team, across sectors, products and geographies. You will work closely together with your colleagues within corporate finance as part of a deal team, but also with your colleagues within the sales and research team focused on life sciences.

Your main tasks will include
- Ensuring sector coverage by building up relationships with private and public companies, investors and other stakeholders
- Participating in deal sourcing by actively scouting the market and by preparing and delivering presentations
- Playing a key role in the execution of life sciences deals including negotiating the main terms of a transaction, managing the transaction process, preparing materials, conducting strategic and financial analysis and performing valuation exercises
- Assisting in the communication and brand building of the life sciences franchise, by acting as an opinion leader of the KBC Securities lifesciences franchise team

**Your key strengths?**:

- You have a scientific background (professional experience, academic background...) combined with financial experience (at a bank, big-4 or boutique or at a venture capitalist or a private equity investor)
- You have very good commercial skills and you are able to build strong, trusting relationships internally and externally
- You possess strong analytical and technical skills
- You are a team player and have good interpersonal skills
- You are ambitious, driven and capable of delivering results while working under tight deadlines
- You are open-minded, autonomous, able to anticipate and multi-task and are responsive
- You are self-disciplined and driven to maintain high professional standards
- You have excellent communication skills; both verbally and in writing
- You are hands-on, proactive and enthusiastic
- Fluent English speaking/writing is a must, other languages are helpful
