- In light of its further international business expansion, Virya Energy is looking to enlarge its Finance Team with a Financial Controller/Modeller. You will be based primarily in Braine L’Alleud and Halle. You are able to work from home up to 3 days a week._

**Your role**:
We are looking for a Financial Controller/Modeller with at least 3 years of experience with a strong focus on creating and maintaining financial models for our broad pipeline of hydrogen projects, as well to coordinate a variety of other financial aspects linked to these projects. You will work closely with our project
- and management team to analyze and model financial data and provide strategic insights to support decision-making. You will:

- Work closely with cross-function teams (including project management, engineering and commercial teams) to understand project parameters and inputs to ensure accurate management of financial aspects of the projects.
- Developing bankable financial models for hydrogen projects that provide insights to support investment opportunities, valuation for acquisition/divestments and discussions for project financing.
- Identify and assess potential financial risk areas and supporting the implementation of risk mitigation activities from a project perspective.
- Provide timely advise, including scenario and sensitivity testing, for the projects and other departments to ensure key financial and tax aspects are covered when discussing with external and internal stakeholders.
- Support discussions with external clients, banks and subsidy providers to facilitate decision-making from a project perspective.
- Take a roll as project coordinator for a wide variety of financial projects. This may include for example implementing a new software package, setting up a new way of reporting or investigating and working on potential investment or acquisition opportunities.

**Your profile**:

- At least 3 years of experience in finance, preferably in the energy industry or in a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data and analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling tools.
- Broad financial knowledge and expertise to support assignments beyond pure financial modeling, such as project coordination and coordination with accounting and audit colleagues.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Master's degree in finance, economics, or a related field is preferred.
