The Role

Chemours is seeking a Production Manager (female / male) to join our Mechelen Coatings team This is a key position within the Site Leadership Team of our Mechelen location, reporting to the Plant Manager. The manufacturing site in Mechelen produces Solvent
- and Water based liquid coatings for our customers in and outside EMEA. You will continuously build your high performing team that delivers maximal output with mínimal quality issues in the safest working standards. And you will do this in such a way that the Mechelen Operations team becomes the greatest place to work for all employees. Your great and diverse team is counting 18 employees (Production in 2 shifts and Warehouse in day schedule).

**Responsibilities**:

- Provides input to the 3-5 year site strategic plan which supports the business and corporate strategy, and translates strategic plan in annual department plans and targets.
- Develops and establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and includes the whole team in KPI understanding and results.
- Delivers on highest standards on safety, environmental compliance, 5S, organizational discipline.
- Delivers world class coatings in line with quality specs, work standards, customer requirements and applicable ISO and GMP standards.
- Contact person for the regional Supply Chain team and Global Effectiveness team.
- Manages daily improvement together with the Team Leaders to deliver significant continuous improvements in Operations.
- Co creates the sites supply strategy with the regional Supply Chain team through the efficient use of materials, machines, and employees. Ensures clear coordination with the Scheduler on available capacity and realistic production plans.
- Reports on daily and weekly production results to global level.
- Responsible for inventory accuracy of the raw materials and packaging warehouse in close cooperation with the Warehouse Team Leader.
- Responsible for proper waste handling in cooperation with the internal waste team and contractors.
- Represents the production team in CTB’s (change to business) with introductions of new products / raw materials and changes in working standards.
- Sets expectations and hold people accountable for Core Value compliance and model the appropriate behavior.

Skills & Experience
- Master’s degree or acquired thinking and working level through experience.
- Experience in coatings / chemical industry is preferred.
- Great people leader and communication skills.
- A team player who easily connects with team members and stakeholders from Quality,

Maintenance & Reliability, Technology, Engineering, EHS, Supply Chain, Customer Service and HR.
- Strong business acumen and skilled in continuous improvement (Lean, 6 Sigma, A3 thinking).
- Believes that our responsibility goes beyond producing (Innovation and Sustainable Solutions, Environmental Leadership, Social and Community Impact, Diversity and Inclusion).
- Speaks and writes Dutch fluently
