As a Technical Buyer, you are responsible for leading the purchasing process.
**| Your challenges?**:
- Meet and execute year-over-year cost reductions.
- Manage all sourcing and supply chain activities for the assigned commodities.
- Identify, analyze, and execute business opportunities to generate sustainable benefits for the company. This also includes the development, contracting and management of a supplier portfolio and enabling early supplier involvement by working closely together with all internal stakeholders, such as R&D, Quality, Operations, Product Management.
- Support all plants within a region in a matrix organization and insure supplier performance and accomplishment with the Quality System.
- This position requires spontaneous traveling and involvement to manage a global environment.
**| What do we expect from you?**:
- You preferably have a minimum bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Electromechanics or Design and Production Technology.
- Ideally, you have a minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or a similar role and with a high interest in mechatronics and electrification.
- You have a strong technical insight in combination with a commercial flair. Experience with the various production processes for electrical and mechanical parts is seen as an asset.
- You possess strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- You have good interpersonal and leadership skills to work with people at all levels in a professional manner.
- You have knowledge of IATF 16949 or QS-9000 Quality Specifications.
- You have insight into the logístical flow of goods and experience with an ERP package (SAP).
- You are stress resistant, have the necessary perseverance and excellent problem-solving skills.
- You are fluent in English. Knowledge of German, Dutch and Spanish is an added value.
