Zurich Insurance has an exciting opportunity for an hands on and entrepreneurial leader to design and execute on creation of our affinity organization through developing short and long term strategy & plans, operating model and then drive business development to achieve profitable growth of Affinity for Benelux (through broader multi-country EEA engagement). This role will be based in Zaventem, Belgium with a wider responsibility for the Benelux market.

**Your responsibilities are**:

- Drive affinity business within Benelux, and act as key point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders. Whilst the roles is responsible for business written through Benelux, it also relies on supporting and leading opportunities across multi-country markets across the EEA.
- Focus on understanding and enhancing performance, ensuring appropriate targets reflecting business strategy, objectives and market conditions are set and that actions, including resources, are in place to achieve them.
- Develop and lead execution of short term and long term strategy for affinity across product, distribution channels, partners and region (for multi-country EEA opportunities), liaising with colleagues within Zurich Group as needed.
- Build, continuously monitor and grow customer relationships and deal pipeline across select distribution channels
- Supports local Executive team in managing relationships with regulatory and external bodies as required.
- Contributes to wider strategy as a member of the Benelux management team
- Serving customer needs whilst maintaining standards in terms of underwriting, risk profile and the value proposition.
- Develop a rolling business plan for affinity that provides for growth and a return on capital.
- Develop a high performance culture within the business.
- Ensure with all applicable laws, regulations and Zurich Group policies and standards.

**Business Accountabilities**:

- Set the vision and strategy for the affinity organization, and ensure execution
- Plan for and allocate resources required to implement the business policies and strategic directions in line with the needs of the affinity
- Lead multi-functional deal teams to ensure they deliver the right business outcomes
- Review and evaluate relevant external trends such as regulatory change and develop functional policies to support the delivery of the organization's goals and ensure compliance with existing and emerging regulations.
- Review and interpret relevant country/functional policies, develop and recommend changes and provide authoritative advice to colleagues to ensure their effective implementation.

**What we are looking for**:

- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 8 or more years of experience in affinity market across Benelux & broader EEA
- Extensive experience with sourcing affinity deals, building pipelines and leading deal teams in affinity market
- Fluent in English, Dutch and/or French is an asset
