**Job Description - Head of Business and Market Intelligence**

We are searching for a Head of Business and Market Intelligence.

You will work in the Corporate Strategy department reporting to the CSO. This position provides unique exposure to our senior management and possibility to make an impact at corporate, platform/division level.

To effectively complete its mission, the Head of Business and Market Intelligence:

- Communicates key market insights with senior leaders in an organized fashion
- Develops fact-based market and competitive intelligence to support key strategic projects and management processes by working closely with the CSO, Platforms and Divisions teams
- Drives continuous improvement initiatives within the market intelligence function to enhance the sophistication of our market research tools and models
- **Drive, align and coordinate market intelligence methodology** within Platforms and Divisions for Etex core businesses: Plasterboard, Fiber Cement, Promat, Insulation, and Systems & solutions
- Work closely in collaboration with **Corporate Strategy and Platforms** to provide a thorough understanding of the **key market fundamentals **(including leading and lagging indicators) that will impact the global Etex businesses
- Build a **construction market forecast model** as input to the strategy cycle
- **Provide insights** on market trends, opportunities and risks for Etex in relation with current businesses and potential addressable markets and substitutes
- Collect insights on **direct competitors and peers **in alignment with Platforms
- Build a structured **depository for market data **based on validated marketing sources
- Interface with key stakeholders in **Divisions **to provide consistent market indicators as part of the company **Quarterly Rolling Forecast process**:

- Develop and deliver presentations and market intelligence **to senior management on key market developments, industry trends and competitors**:

- Lead primary and secondary research with consultants or market research firms to extract critical market data used to provide fact-based insight in the context of a **strategic deep-dive or an acquisition project**:

- Ensure a steady flow of **valuable new**s regarding our main markets, select information and articles to be published internally; build and share market newsletters

The required qualities for the job are:

- Ability to drive analytical work and judgement skills to convey relevant content in a timely manner
- Affinity with market analysis and/or knowledge of specific Etex markets/businesses, considered a plus
- Structured, organized
- Good communicator
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects
