- 39TUI Group is the world’s number one integrated tourism business. **Flight Operations & Training** is a function within our airline organisation responsible for securing common operating systems and procedures and efficient operation of all training functions across all airline operations. The Flight Operations function will operate as a multi-disciplinary team of experts providing services across the UK, Nordics, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Morocco, France, and the Dutch Antilles.
- You’ll work in close collaboration with the Head of Training (TUI Airline) to develop, implement, and ensure the integrity of Flight and Cabin Crew training across TUI Airline. The role will work with local Nominated Persons to ensure all training activities comply with regulatory requirements, in all TUI Airline jurisdictions.
- In this role, you’ll report to the **Chief Flight Operations Officer**.
**ABOUT THE JOB**
- As **Head of Flight Operations & Training**, you’ll be accountable for:
- Developing and providing common crew training standards across all TUI Airline operations, in close collaboration with the Head of Training (TUI Airline)
- Ensuring your team lead the effective design and delivery of all technical Flight and Cabin Crew training requirements across TUI Airline, ensuring a consistent approach is taken by all airline training team
- Working with Nominated Persons in each of the five AOCs to ensure TUI Airline Flight and Cabin Crew training meets regulatory requirements
- Continuous improvement, ensuring your team improve training standards and output through working collaboratively with the regulators, seeking opportunities for an innovative and creative approach to ensure the delivery of high quality, high impact training for all flying crew
- Your team working closely with Cabin Crew and Inflight Services teams to define service and other non-technical training requirements, scheduling and delivering training material to ensure the delivery of customer service, behavioural and product requirement on board the aircraft
- Delivering an efficient operation of all training functions in the five AOCs and seek every opportunity to maximise the unitisation of training facilities and resources whilst responding to changing training needs, including new procedures or service routine as required
- Continuously working with your team and Pilot and Cabin Crew management teams to maximise the use of crew off-line time and improve flexibility to generate the greatest possible value in TUI’s investment in training
- Working in conjunction with the Supplier Management & Procurement team, securing all necessary simulator time and volume requirements through best value contracts with external providers
- Providing leadership, strategic context, and guidance to a high performing team through developing and shaping a clear structure, providing direction to a wide team of managers and specialists, and developing cultural awareness and understanding of the market contexts within TUI Group- Coach your management team and drive high performance and personal development at all levels
- Leading by example, you will build leadership capability within your teams, reviewing your organisation and talent to support appropriate development opportunities for your team
- Ensure your team understand the importance of leadership development by acting as a role model in making time for, and showing commitment to, your own development as a leader
