SAP Developer

For our Unilin IT department we are looking for an experienced **SAP ABAP Developer.**
You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing custom solutions within our SAP environment. You will collaborate closely with SAP consultants, and other developers to deliver high-quality SAP enhancements and solutions that drive our business forward. Your expertise in ABAP development will be essential in ensuring the robustness, scalability, and performance of our SAP systems.
- Development & Customization: Design, develop, test, and deploy custom SAP ABAP programs, including reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms (RICEF), and other custom developments to meet business needs. This by using the coding guidelines and quality standards.
- Technical Design: Create technical specifications based on functional designs, ensuring alignment with Unilin’s SAP architecture and development standards.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize existing ABAP code for performance improvements and ensure compliance with best practices and coding standards.
- Integration: Develop and maintain integrations between SAP and other systems (both SAP and non-SAP) using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, API’s, CDS and other technologies.
- Problem Solving: Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting complex SAP issues, performing root cause analysis, and delivering timely and effective solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with functional teams, end-users, and other stakeholders to understand business processes and translate them into technical requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation for all developments and configurations, ensuring knowledge transfer within the team.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: you help with introducing and implementing new technologies.
- Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior developers (also offshore), fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and technical excellence within the team.

**Who are you?**:

- Minimum Bachelor degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in SAP ABAP development
- Fluent in English; fluency in Dutch is seen as a big plus.
- Our team is located in Waregem, you are in the possibility to physically join this team multiple days per week
- Proficient in SAP ABAP programming, including object-oriented programming, ALV, BAPI, BADI, User Exits, and Enhancements.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA, Fiori/UI5/Elements development, and CDS Views is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of SAP integration technologies such as IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and Web Services
- Experience with developing on an SAP EWM environment is a plus
- Familiarity with SAP development tools like Eclipse (ADT).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior team members and offshore colleagues.
