For this position you would be working with our client from the European institutions.
The HR Data & Analytics unit (HR.A5), in collaboration with other Commission departments and stakeholders, delivers HR data and insights to inform HR policies and decision-making, aiding the successful rollout of the Commission's Digital Transformation and EU policies. By working closely with stakeholders and clients, HR.A5 develops and manages solutions in data and analytics, offering cutting-edge, user-friendly, accurate, and cost-efficient business intelligence tools and services for HR professionals, managers, and policy makers. These services include standard reports, interactive dashboards, advanced analytics, publications, and coordination of HR data governance.
Below are the details of your role and requirements.
**Your role**:
- Create architecture models that reflect the organization’s strategies and goals.
- Integrate the project and program strategies and ensure alignment with business strategies and drivers, and management priorities.
- Analyse the current state of the HR Family data analytics technologies, processes, and services to identify areas for improvement and create a plan for future development.
- Design the transition strategy from current data analytics tools to the target platform.
- Contribute to the design of HR Family Enterprise Architecture, with focus on data.
- Design Data Warehouse architecture.
- Design, develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure accurate and timely data integration from multiple sources.
- Create and maintain data marts and dimensional model, and the logic to keep these updated.
- Implement best practices to ensure the integrity of data
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of the data warehouse environment
- Develop and maintain data models to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval
- Participation in data governance initiatives to uphold data quality standards
- Participation in technical and business meetings with IT and business stakeholders to identify data needs, clarify requirements, and design solution

Who we think you are:
- Excellent ability to analyse, model and interpret data
- Working knowledge of a version control system such as Git
- Excellent Data Vault 2.0 modelling and implementation knowledge
- Extensive experience in data quality applied to Data Warehouse / Data Vault
- Extensive experience in using data warehouse and data vault automation tools such as Datavault Builder
- Experience of preparing FSD/TSD (Functional/Technical Specification Document) documents from BRD (Business Requirement Document) / Customer Requirements.
- Thoroughly proficient in SQL, PL/SQL development in Oracle. Expertise in other programming languages such as Python or JavaScript is considered a big plus
- Working knowledge in cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud platform and related components, SQL Server on Azure, Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse is considered a plus
- Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment
- A valid certification in a recognized quality assurance standard is considered a plus (i.e. ISTQB), certification in data and analytics test
