**We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Accounting Manager to play a key role in the daily financial management in the headquarters and within an international complex environment, including**:
- Daily and month-end financial closing activities
- Manage general accounting and cut-off activities in complex international environment
- Cooperate/coordinate with different accountants abroad within the group finance professionals at the headquarters
- Reconcile the accounts (e.g. inter-company, confirmations, etc.)
- Coordinate the payroll accounting and related reconciliations
- Take full ownership of and prepare the monthly Balance Sheet Review
- Ensure continuous improvement of the internal control in cooperation with the Corporate Controlling Team
- Process daily automated transactions (in relationship with other departments like the Treasury and the Shared Service Centre)
- Year-end Audit and Quarterly Reviews: handle full auditors requests
- Projects: participate in important projects around SAP and internal control together with the Consolidation, Corporate Controlling & IT departments
- Prepare and file the Belgian Statutory Accounts (with Transfer Pricing Approach)
The role is based in Zaventem (Corporate Village) and reports to the VP Group Controlling and FP&A.
**We are looking for**:
- Master's Degree in Economics. Bachelor Degree in Accounting is a minimum requirement, CPA is an advantage
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position in a complex international environment or 5 years of experience within a group of entities involving complex accounting management
- Excellent knowledge of tax, VAT and other statutory requirements
- Experience with Belgian GAAP is a must and exposure to IFRS is an asset
- Able to report numbers in a clear and concise way
- Advanced SAP FICO experience is an absolute requirement
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010, especially MS Excel
- Proven track record of improving processes, BPS & KPI’s
- Excellent communication skills: able to interact and influence a large number of stakeholders in a decentralized structure
- Dynamic, energetic and proactive; able to work both autonomously and as part of a team
- Prior experience in managing a small team (one direct report) is an asset
- High fluency in English with good working knowledge of French and/or Dutch
