**Your role**:
*Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Develop and manage an R&D portfolio that supports Parkwind’s current and future business, in support of the strategy, in a.o. the following areas:
- Foundation design techniques, use of new materials and installation methods
- O&M performance thru advanced data management, machine learning, AI
- Multi-use of wind farms for aquaculture and other renewable energy
- New technologies such as floating wind, green hydrogen,...
- Provide and coordinate support and the use of internal resources in identifying and developing (investment) opportunities in new competencies & technologies for differentiation, competitive advantage, or diversification into new businesses.
- Coordinate the internal resources from the different departments delivering input to R&D projects.
- Keep track of ongoing developments and innovations in offshore wind, in a broad sense.
- Promote and support the creation of innovative ideas and R&D proposals by all Parkwind teams.
- Liaise with other players in our business and with knowledge institutes to identify and cooperate in joint industry R&D initiatives.
- Represent Parkwind in the external (R&D) community.
- Develop and maintain a state-of-the-art R&D and knowledge management tool.
Deliverables:
- R&D portfolio
- Presentation and assessment of new files for management decision
- R&D portfolio budget
- Regular reviews and reports on R&D activities
- Up-to-date knowledge base
- Handover to the business when R&D projects enter into commercial phase
**Your profile**:
- Preferably several years of experience in Parkwind, or with another offshore wind developer / operator
- Engineering background, ideally have a sufficiently broad understanding of the mechanical / electrical / structural elements in offshore wind and related technologies
- Capable of identifying and assessing innovative ideas in relation with business needs, competitive advantage, future potential,
- Sufficient financial competence to manage the R&D budget, to assess financial planning and business impact of R&D initiatives
- Critical mindset, able to assess innovative ideas in a 360° mode
- Hands-on mentality, team-player
- Communication and presentation skills towards internal team and management, and towards external audience, able to present ideas and proposals in a concise and efficient way
