- We are recruiting a _**_Junior_**_ _**_EU Public Affairs Manager_**_ for KI (Knauf Insulation). This position reports hierarchically to the Group Public and Regulatory Affairs Director, based in the Brussels office._
- The position is a maternity cover for a _**_period of 12 months_**_ from the starting date and is likely to be confirmed as an open-ended contract during the mission.**Can you say ‘yes’?...**

**What you’ll be doing**:
You participate in regular team and department meetings. You will support the department by:
- Monitoring, attending and reporting on **European Parliament Committee** meetings (ITRE, etc.) pertaining to energy, electricity market, energy efficiency and buildings’ policy files;
- Reporting on **Council of the European Union** meetings and initiatives focused on energy policies;
- **Performing stakeholder mapping** and **assessing** the position of stakeholders on strategic energy policy files;
- **Preparing **clear-cut** briefings** for external (policy meetings/conferences) and internal purposes;
- **Advocating in favour of the company’s position** towards EU policymakers (e.g., MEPs, Perm Reps, Commission officials) together with the Group Public and Regulatory Affairs Director;
- Supporting the preparation of contributions to EU associations and participate in the work in the associations;
- **Organising** internal public affairs meetings and external events;
- Drafting and supporting the preparation of public affairs and **corporate communication materials**.

We're looking for someone who has **excellent oral and written** **communication **skills, is well **organised** and is a **team player**, and someone **who aspires to grow** in a corporate environment.
If you have experience in the following areas - this is an added advantage:
- Master’s degree in **European Affairs, Political Science, Law, Economics or Business** (though not exclusively) or equivalent by experience;
- Public affairs experience ranging from 1 to 3 years (traineeship included);
- Experience working with EU institutions, business or **trade associations** and multi-stakeholder groups including NGOs is a plus;
- Fluent spoken and written English - any other EU language, German, or a Eastern European language would be an asset;
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office 365 required).
