Mission Design Studio Coordinator
YOUR MISSION
As a Design Studio Coordinator, you will be responsible for the daily transmission of information within the Studio and between the Studio and its direct stakeholders, such as the Production Atelier, Marketing, Sales, etc. On top of that, you support the Design team and Creative Director across various projects.
Design Coordination
- Daily assistance to the creative director and head of design.
- Assist the design team with technical support to design team
- Assist the design team organising design packs, research, and sketches by category
- Daily transmission of information between in-house atelier and studio.
- Responsible for updating and maintaining studio digital database: digital server, archive folders and hard drives, digital imagery.
- Develop and update overview tools (digital recaps and collection boards).
- Share collection overview with key stakeholders (creative director, stylist, head of departments).
- Ensure all information is delivered in a timely manner and quality is up to Wouters & Hendrix standards.
- Manage Archive requests and returns.
Assistant Design
- You assist the head designer to design new collections, adding a strong technical background, after validation of the creative director, from sketch to prototype, create mock-ups when needed, liaise closely with the atelier to optimize the finishing, fit and quality of all the products.
- You design additional styles to existing timeless collections.
- You present, or oversee presentation of final concepts, and obtain approvals for deliverables.
Sourcing
- Manage suppliers and related issues
- Visit shows
- Search for ground materials and suppliers
- Search for workshops with specific expertise
- Negotiate with suppliers
- Follow-up sample orders
- Managing all ground materials per collection in order to facilitate communication between Studio and Atelier.
Your talents and experience
- Solid understanding of design and product management processes.
- Solid communicator with excellent, strong written and verbal skills.
- Emotionally intelligent.
- Able to handle sensitive business and personal information with professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion at all times.
- Ability to anticipate needs, being proactive in solving problems autonomously.
- Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and project management skills.
- Ability to balance workload across multiple projects and demands.
- Have a positive attitude to work.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 is a must.
- Experience with Adobe InDesign and/or Photoshop, 3D design (CAD, Rhinoceros,) is a plus.
